How to apply?
Prior to pursuing any research activities at Orchidseven you need to apply for the same. Your application shall be assesed from amongst all applications worldwide and on selection you will be intimated and supported by us to pursue your Research topic.
You must submit the following documents to apply for Research at Orchidseven:
- Your CV / Resume
- Details of any IT projects undertaken

Where is the Research program presently available?
This research program is presently available only in India.

Are international students eligible to apply?
Yes, if you are an international student at Indian school / University and pursuing your Graduation or Masters, you are eligible.

What if I am not completing my last year of graduation or have ATKT?
The completion of last year is just a guideline and not mandatory. Such Candidates applying for research must also submit their thesis to be considered by Orchidseven.

Do I have to be nominated by my university or can I apply on my own?
To be considered for the program, you must be nominated by an eligible university or an Orchidseven researcher.

Which college / University departments are eligible to participate?
Any Science stream (Computer Science preferred), Engineering, or Mathematics departments at eligible universities may nominate up to three students per eligible department. Other department students may also apply, but they must have at least two reference letters, one from their professor and the other from their Science department for their application to be considered.

How do I submit my application?
You must contact the HOD (Head of Department) from Computer / IT division in College / University for submitting your application. Your institution will have all the required details to access our University Research Application website.

What format should I use for my CV, thesis proposal, and reference letters?
All required documents must be submitted as a ZIP / RAR file containing all required information (individual documents may be in Word, PDF, or text-only formats).

How long should my thesis proposal be?
We will accept your thesis proposal in whatever stage you prefer (full or summary). Our preference is to receive the most complete information available; however, your proposal should be between 1.5 and five pages.

If selected, am I required to complete an internship at Orchidseven Research?
Internships are encouraged, but not required as part of the award. You may complete a 12-week internship at any time after you complete the Eklavya Student Researcher program in December.

Will intellectual property be an issue if I selected as Eklavya Student Researcher?
Orchidseven Eklavya program is not subject to any intellectual property (IP) restrictions unless and until the student applies for nomination as a Student Researcher and is accepted by Orchidseven. At that time, you would be required to sign a Research agreement covering IP worked on during your ESR Term.

Can I simultaneously receive Internships from other companies?
If you accept Internship from Orchidseven, you may not receive another Internship from another company for the same academic period.
